National Stakeholder Review and Preparatory Workshop

NASPPMAN recently participated in a high-level strategic engagement under the National Agricultural Growth Scheme and Agro-pocket (NAGS-AP) initiative, organized in direct collaboration with the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) and key federal bodies.

Held at Debbies Upper-Class Events & Recreation Center in Orozo, Nasarawa State, this landmark event brought together agricultural leaders, policymakers, and value chain stakeholders to review ongoing frameworks and map out robust preparatory workflows for the upcoming farming season.

Key Objectives of the Engagement

  • Policy Alignment: Synchronizing nationwide agricultural intervention goals with federal ministries, specifically supporting the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security’s mandate.

  • Financial Access & Input Distribution: Partnering with the Bank of Agriculture to streamline financial support mechanisms, ensuring that local farmers and processors gain smoother access to subsidized agro-inputs.

  • Value Chain Expansion: Discussing targeted strategies to scale up production capacity, improve processing standards, and build resilient cooperatives across the country.

This workshop marks a crucial step in NASPPMAN’s ongoing mission to bridge the gap between grassroots farmers and major institutional stakeholders, ensuring that sustainable growth reaches every level of our agricultural ecosystem.
